Wednesday February 4th is National Signing Day for College Football so with many tennis fans also fans of other sports I thought I’d put out the below spreadsheet for all to see.

Recruiting and recruiting rankings are always a captivating subject because everyone wants to sign the Blue Chip can’t miss person because the assumption is if the person is that highly ranked there’s no way they’re not going to perform at the next level.  On the flip-side if a person is a 4-star then while it’s recognized that they’re a good player most would think they can’t compete with the big boys. But ultimately it’s up to the individual on whether or not they are successful. Some guys peak in juniors while other bloom late so it’s always interesting to see what the make up is of a roster of a program in one of the major conferences.

The below spreadsheet shows the rough depth charts of many of the men’s programs broken down by conference.   Start with the legend tab as a guide of how to read it and then browse through each school to see the composition of its roster.  Pretty interesting information and it’s easy to see how many of the same teams are in the Top 10 year in and year out.  Also check out the tab of recent National Champs which shows the roster of each Champion, Runner-Up, and Semifinalist.

National Signing Day for College Tennis is April 15th this year so check out TennisRecruiting.Net for all their great features and stories about the next great stars coming to a tennis court near you.

As an FYI to keep this from getting buried under other posts in a few days I’ll move it up to its own tab at the top of my site beside the Daily Schedule tab so that way it can easily be viewed at any time. If some of the information is inaccurate please point that out to me and I’ll make the necessary adjustments.
