Rutgers Director of Athletics Patrick Hobbs announced that Hilary Ritchie had been elevated from acting women’s head coach to full-time head coach. Ritchie, who played at Iowa and Colorado State, had been the assistant coach at Rutgers for the past six years under Benjamin Bucca who recently stepped down after 13 years to become a New Jersey Superior Court judge.

Duke men’s head coach Ramsey Smith announced that Diego Garavito (Bethune-Cookman ’16) will be the Blue Devils volunteer assistant coach this coming season.

There are only a handful of D1 head coaching jobs still open – my coaching carousel page is showing seven men’s and seven women’s jobs still to be filled.

Holy Cross College (NAIA) in Notre Dame, Indiana, announced they are starting a tennis program in the fall of 2017. The newly formed program will be led by longtime high school coach Steve Bender who is a member of the Michigan High School Coaches Hall of Fame.
