Northwestern graduate Samantha Murray was the big winner last week after sweeping singles and doubles titles at the ITF $15K in Wirral, Great Britain. Murray only dropped one set in singles and cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win in the final over Eden Silva. Murray's toughest match came in the semifinals against her doubles partner Maia Lumsden when she came back from a 3-6, 3-4* deficit to win 3-6, 6-4, 6-3. The singles title was the second of Murray's career and first since 2012.

Murray and Lumsden only dropped one set in the doubles draw and they won the doubles title with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Alicia Barnett and Laura Sainsbury. The doubles title was Murray's second of the year and 15th of her career. Murray is currently ranked 490 in singles and 305 in doubles.

Former USC doubles partners Kaitlyn Christian and Sabrina Santamaria won the doubles title at the $80K WL Amos, Sr. Classic in Macon, Georgia, with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Sanaz Marand and Paula Goncalves. Christian and Santamaria, who won the NCAA Doubles Championship in 2013, only dropped one set on the week with that coming in the quarterfinals. The doubles title was the second for the duo as a team while it was the ninth overall for both.

Miguel Angel Reyes-Varela and Blaz Rola teamed up to win the doubles title the $50K Challenger in Lima, Peru. Reyes-Varela and Rola squeezed out tight three sets wins in the opening two rounds before winning in straight sets in both the semifinals and finals. Reyes-Varela has now won six Challenger doubles titles this year and his current ranking of 125 is just 25 off his career high of 100. The doubles title was the first this year for Rola who has a current doubles ranking of 336.
