Last weekend was full of some wild finishes, but as the dust settled, one team remained on top.

TCU held serve and finished the Big XII regular season a perfect 5-0. Over the weekend, TCU beat Baylor at home and Texas Tech on the road. TCU locked up the regular season title on Thursday by beating Baylor 4-1. TCU won the doubles point fairly comfortably and won all three singles matches 6-3, 6-4. Baylors win came from Roy Smith at #6 singles 6-0, 6-1. On Sunday TCU played Texas Tech in Lubbock. The Horned Frogs jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the match; however, the Red Raiders had the momentum as they took the first set on the four remaining courts. Texas Tech was able to win two of those, but it was Alastair Gray at #4 singles who came back and clinched the win for TCU. They are the #1 seed in the conference tournament and earned a bye Friday and will play Saturday at noon.

Texas also earned a first round bye in the conference tournament by beating Baylor Sunday. Texas had the chance to lock up the #2 seed earlier in the weekend when they went to Texas Tech and played Thursday. The doubles point proved crucial. Texas won at #2, but it was Texas Tech who came from behind and won at #1 and #3 doubles. Texas Tech again found themselves in a hole, losing three singles matches quickly, but the Red Raiders fought back and won the last three matches for a dramatic 4-3 upset. The loss for Texas put even more meaning in their Sunday match against the Bears (as if there wasnt enough already between Texas vs. Baylor). Baylor was looking to finish the season undefeated at home. Texas was able to win the doubles point with a dramatic 7-5 win at #2 doubles. Texas carried the momentum from doubles into singles, winning the first sets in all six singles. Baylor was able to claw their way back and win the second sets in three matches, but Texas closed the other three out in straight sets, for a 4-0 win.

OU finished 3rd in the conference with a 3-2 record (but a head to head loss against Texas put OU as the #3 seed). Oklahoma went into Stillwater to face Oklahoma State and pulled off an even more dramatic, tight 4-3 victory. The match began with all three doubles matches going to tiebreakers. The Sooners found themselves down 3-0 after losing the doubles point and #3 and #5 singles. With the match then at 3-2, OSUs chance to win was at #6 singles. OUs Tsorotiotis tied the match at 3-3 after winning a thriller, beating OSUs Theodorou, 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (4). In the third set, Tsorotiotis and Theodorou traded games to force a tiebreaker. The match then came down to #2 singles where OUs Van Emburgh clinched the victory with a 6-3, 6-7 (6), 6-2, win over Tristan Meraut. It was Oklahomas 11th straight win over Oklahoma State, dating back to 2009.

OU will face Texas Tech in the first round of the conference tournament. The Red Raiders put up a big fight at home to close out the regular season, beating Texas and losing a close 4-2 to TCU. OU hosted Texas Tech during the opening weekend of Big XII play. OU won 4-1.

The other first round match will feature the #5 seed Baylor vs. the #4 seed Oklahoma State. These two teams had a battle in the regular season! The match was back and forth, eventually coming down to a third set tiebreaker at #6 singles. OSU won 4-3.

Anything can happen now that its tournament time! First round matches are Friday in Austin.
