Play gets started on Thursday in New York City with 8 of the top American current and recent collegiate men and women playing for a potential main draw wild card into next year’s US Open.
Per the release below “The men’s and women’s champions will receive main-draw wild cards into the 2016 US Open if either is ranked No. 120 or better by the US Open entry deadline next summer. If they do not meet that ranking requirement, the winners will receive qualifying wild cards. The champions will also get wild cards into two USTA Pro Circuit events, while each finalist will earn one wild card.”
