There are lots of current and former college players representing their respective countries in Davis Cup action this weekend. The duo has already captured one Challenger doubles title this year after winning six titles last year of which four were Challengers. There were some very tight matchups for all the top SEC Men’s teams this week. While Mississippi State and Texas A&M managed to escape unscathed the Gators were not so lucky and fell on Sunday in a shocker to South Carolina just two days after beating #1 Wake Forest at Wake. ACC Women’s Recap – UNC & Duke Pulling Away While The Cuse Stuns Georgia Tech

We started to see some separation this past week from the top of the conference to the rest. UNC and Duke are pulling away from the rest with Ga Tech, Wake, and UVa all taking losses over the weekend. The tobacco road neighbors are clearly the cream of the crop in the ACC this season, and personally I would give the nod to Duke. They may have lost head to head, and UNC may retain the top spot nationally, but Duke has been absolutely dominant since that loss. A special nod to the Orange this week for coming up with the biggest win in the history of their program, knocking off #3 Georgia Tech.Thursday, Mar 29William & Mary at Virginia (ooc) recapNorth...

Pac 12 Recap: UCLA and Utah Shine

It was a great Easter weekend of Pac-12 men’s tennis with several close dramatic matches and important results for NCAA tournament positioning. By the end of the weekend there would be three teams very pleased with their performance, two with a neutral performance and four teams who had negative weekends. Best WeekendsUCLA: The Bruins had one of the most impressive weekends in the entire country. It began on Friday when UCLA matched up with #3 Stanford in a highly anticipated rematch from early February when Stanford pulled out a tight 4-3 match. The Bruins had two things going for them heading into the match; this time around the match was at...

SEC Weekend Preview 3/30 – 4/1

Texas A&M and Mississippi State remain atop the men’s conference standings with 6-0 records after each posted a pair of wins last weekend. Both teams will get serious tests this weekend as they both face a couple of top 25 teams on the road. A&M will visit Vanderbilt and Kentucky while Mississippi State will visit Georgia and Tennessee. While those are the marquee conference matchups there is one huge non-conference matchup this week when Florida visits #1 Wake Forest. The Deacs lost their first match of the year Sunday to Florida State but rebounded Wednesday to take down #5 North Carolina and will be ready for the Gators. Full match previews...
