Oracle announced on Tuesday the creation of the Oracle US Tennis Awards which will award one male and one female American player, with college tennis ties, a grant for $100,000 each to help with their transition from college to professional tennis. The two individuals will be chosen by the six-member Oracle US Tennis Awards Advisory Council with the six members being Chris Evert, Ilana Kloss, Peggy Michel, Tim Russell, Martin Blackman, and Todd Martin. TCU’s west coast trip has been a good one so far as the Horned Frogs won their third straight with a 6-1 win at UC Santa Barbara. TCU won the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3 then they took four first sets in singles. Cameron Norrie, Guillermo Nunez, and Reese Stalder won in straight sets with Nunez clinching at No. 3. Alex Rybakov and Jerry Lopez won in third sets while UCSB’s Chase Masciorini double-bageled Gianni Mancini at No. 6. I’m not sure how Masciorini’s match didn’t finish first but according to the box score it was the second to last match to finish. With three straight wins, @RoditiTCUTennis’s hat...

This has been a season of firsts for Cornell with the Big Red achieving a program high ranking of No. 18 a few weeks ago and then today they picked up their first ever top 10 win after going into Norman and defeating Oklahoma 4-3. The day didn’t start off very promising for Cornell because Oklahoma rolled through the doubles point picking up a 6-2 win at No. 2 and a 6-0 win at No. 3. The teams split first sets in singles and three of the six would finish in straight sets. Oklahoma junior Spencer Papa was the first to finish after he defeated Cornell sophomore David Volfson in straight sets at No. 1. Volfson went up a break at 4-3 in the first set but...

For the second down in a row the Bay Area delivered some high quality but on Saturday the big winners were the visitors from the Lone Star State. TCU came into the weekend ranked just outside the top 30 with a 5-4 record but they’ll head to Santa Barbara three games over .500 after coming back from a 3-0 deficit to defeat No. 41 Stanford 4-3. TCU made a doubles lineup adjustment by dropping an ailing Reese Stalder from No. 1 to No. 3 and moving Cameron Norrie up from No. 3 to No. 1 in an attempt to find a way to sweep the top two courts. On Friday night against Cal, Stalder teamed with Jerry Lopez to defeat the top ranked doubles team of Filip Bergevi...

WOW – what a tremendous day of college tennis action! The day got started early with No. 2 Wake Forest hosting No. 5 North Carolina and it finished 10 hours later with No. 31 TCU pulling off an upset win over No. 6 Cal. Both of the matches in Orlando were tremendous with No. 36 Florida State and No. 15 Florida playing in front of a College MatchDay record-crowd and then at the same time on the other six courts you had Tulsa and Central Florida go down to the wire. I’ll start off with the biggest upset of the day, in terms of ranking, which took place in Palo Alto between a resurgent No. 41 Stanford and No. 8 Texas. The Cardinal was coming off...
