The finals are set at the 60th Southern California Intercollegiate Championships and it’ll be an All-USC final between two guys that may anchor the singles lineup this coming season. USC senior Nick Crystal earned his spot in the finals with a 6-3, 6-4 win over UCLA sophomore Max Cressy while USC freshman Brandon Holt defeated his junior teammate Thibault Forget 6-3, 7-5. Holt and Crystal were the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds respectively with sophomore Logan Smith the top seed although he got knocked out in second round by Cressy. The fall college tennis season is coming around the final turn and starting to make its way toward the finish line. The past two weekends have been loaded up with the ITA Regional Championships and the Oracle ITA Masters and while there isn’t a major tournament this weekend there are several good ones to follow. Live streaming of the event is available here and you can view all the draws, seeds, and scores at the...

The field for the 2016 National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City was revealed on Wednesday evening and for the most part everything went according to plan. All of the ITA Regional Championship winners are participating, which hasn’t always been the case in the past, and the USTA Singles Wild Cards went to the highest ranked healthy American that wasn’t already in line for an at-large selection. The reason I said healthy is because Florida’s Brooke Austin was actually the highest ranked American but since she is injured Cal’s Maegan Manasse got the bid.UCLA’s...

While the women’s regionals saw four teams get singles/doubles sweeps there weren’t any men’s teams able to pull off the same feat. Four of the five doubles finals went to a third set supertiebreak while three of six singles finals saw a third set though only one entered nailbiter status. CTT Fall HubITA Regional Host Site Southwest (Pepperdine) – Singles/Doubles Draws – UCLA senior Gage Brymer made it three years in a row that someone from UCLA had claimed the Southwest Region singles title after a straight set win over USC junior Thibault Forget. Brymer only needed 30 minutes to claim the opening set 6-1 but...
