The final USTA Top 25 of the regular season came out today with the Florida women remaining at No. 1 while the Virginia men replaced Wake Forest as the new men’s No. 1. Virginia defeated Wake Forest in the ACC Championship Final on Sunday to finish the regular season 28-1 while Wake Forest finished with a 27-2 record. The latest USTA Top 25 is out with both the Wake Forest men and Florida women remaining at No. 1. The men’s top five stayed the same with UCLA surging up to No. 6 after defeating USC last week while USC actually comes up one spot to No. 7 after the loss. Cal moved up four spots to No. 8 after knocking off Stanford, idle Texas A&M moved up two spots to No. 9, while Oklahoma State fell four spots to No. 10 after Oklahoma whipped them. The latest USTA Top 25 is out with both the Wake Forest men and Florida women remaining at No. 1 although their leads at the top are as slim as they’ve been. On the men’s side Virginia is just two votes back at No. 2 while on the women’s side Ohio State is only one vote behind Florida. There was no change in the men’s top six though Baylor moved up two spots to No. 7 while USC dropped one spot to No. 8 and Texas dropped two spots to No. 9. The women’s top 10 remained largely unchanged with the only real move coming when North Carolina and Stanford swapped spots at No. 3 and No. 4. The latest USTA Top 25 is out with the Wake Forest men taking over the top spot while the Florida women remain at No. 1. Wake Forest moved up to the top spot after defeating Virginia last Friday which dropped Virginia down to No. 2.
