New Mexico Vice President of Athletics Paul Krebs announced the hiring of Ben Dunbar as New Mexico’s new men’s head coach. Dunbar, who played at New Mexico from 2008 to 2012, was an assistant coach at New Mexico for the last two seasons. Dunbar replaces Bart Scott who resigned last month after two years at the helm of the Lobos.

I mentioned on Saturday that former Georgia graduate Wil Spencer decided to start playing again after retiring back in March. Here is an article from the Richmond Times-Dispatch where Spencer talks about his decision to un-retire.

Yesterday I gave you all the Davis Cup results from the World Group, Group 1, and Group 2 so today I have all of Group 3’s results.

A few notable performances – Vanderbilt’s Baker Newman was a perfect 6-0 for the Bahamas (article from Vandy that explains how he can play for the Bahamas), Texas’s Rodrigo Banzer was 3-0 for Bolivia, Texas A&M commit Hady Habib was 7-1 for Lebanon, Troy’s Giovani Samaha was 4-1 for Lebanon, and Iowa’s Kareem Allaf was 5-1 for Syria.
