The ITA actually put these final team rankings out last week on May 25th but I didn’t make a release because I didn’t want it to get lost in the shuffle with the NCAA Tournament still in progress. The national champion Virginia Cavaliers finished at the top spot while UCLA finished at No. 2 and TCU finished at No. 3. Oklahoma made the biggest jump in the top 10 by rising four spots from No. 10 to No. 6 after making a run to the finals. Cal moved up four spots as well by coming up from No. 13 to No. 9 after making it all the way to the semifinals.Stanford and SMU had the biggest increases with each coming up eight spots to No. 21 and No. 22...

In a stunning development it was announced this evening that John Roddick is stepping down as head coach at University Oklahoma to take over as Director of Tennis and head men’s coach at the University of Central Florida. Roddick just finished up his seventh year in Norman after guiding OU to its third consecutive national runner-up finish. Prior to Roddick’s arrival in Norman, OU had never made it past the NCAA Round of 16 so the job he did in those seven years was nothing short of phenomenal. If Roddick had stayed at OU for an eighth season he would have had to replace his top two players with Axel Alvarez graduating and Andrew Harris turning...

Torpegaard booked his spot with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Wake Forest freshman Petros Chrysochos. Post-Match Comments from Torp:On what it’s like to move on to the semifinals as the No. 1 seed…”It’s a relief. Playing with a target on my back its nice to come out to this match really feeling that I am playing the game I want to. I am taking the initiative in the points, and playing the points in my premises and that’s a great feeling to leave the court with today. On what he takes most from...
